Matthew Tang

Matthew is an experienced family lawyer, who combines sharp legal strategy with empathetic client care to achieve constructive resolutions both in and out of court. He excels at strategising and problem solving, which allows him to assist clients with discovering appropriate steps and options to achieve the best possible outcome for their matter. However, Matthew believes that family law requires more than just legal knowledge, often requiring active listening and clear guidance. Matthew has always been passionate about helping clients navigate what are often some of the most challenging periods of their lives. His ability to communicate effectively with clients allows them to understand the intricacies of family law at every stage of their matter and ease the emotional stress that comes with the family law process.

Matthew holds a double degree in Law and Business, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. He was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and to the High Court of Australia in 2021. Matthew has worked predominantly in family law since admission in a wide array of family law matters, such as parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce applications, mediated matters, recovery orders, contravention applications, conciliation conferences, and trial matters.

Throughout his years of legal experience, Matthew enjoys working side by side with clients and always strives to develop strong relationships with them and understand their needs, to ensure that each client receives the best possible outcome for their matter.
