On 13 July 2015 the government signed and registered the Family Law (Fees) Amendment (2015 Measures No.1) Regulation 2015, which has resulted in an increase in Family Law Courts fees.
Notable increases included:
- Application for Divorce which has increased from $845 to $1,200.
- Subpoena filing fees from $55 to $125.
- New filing fee applicable for any Amended Application of $125.
On 12 August 2015 the Family Law Courts announced that the Fee Increase was disallowed in the Senate and the Court’s fees would not be increasing.
