In 2021, Victoria received the honour of being admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of NSW, and she holds active membership with The Law Society of New South Wales. During her undergraduate tenure at the University of Technology, Sydney, she demonstrated her commitment to social justice by volunteering for Women’s Safety NSW. There, she contributed her skills towards aiding victims of domestic violence, preparing research papers, and making government submissions that highlight the impact of domestic violence on Family Law matters. Victoria’s aptitude for managing the complex webs of law while simultaneously extending empathy and support sets her apart in the legal community, cementing her status as a trusted advisor to her clients.

This is established by the parties being separated for a minimum of 12 months. In some circumstances, parties can be living under the same roof and still be able to establish this ground.

De Facto couples (including same sex couples) who separate after 1 March 2009 have the same rights as married couples. The rights and obligations of couples upon the breakdown of a Marriage or De Facto relationship are now all governed by the Family Law Act 1975. De Facto couples who separated prior to 1 March 2009 are still covered by the old State legislation
