Samira holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is currently completing her Masters in Family Law.
Since admission as a lawyer, Samira has worked predominantly in the area of Family Law assisting separated, married and de facto couples in a wide range of property and parenting matters.
Samira has represented clients to reach just and equitable property settlements in cases with large asset pools which involve shareholdings, partnership interests, companies and trusts, international assets, and matters with complex valuation issues.
Samira has also dealt with a wide range of parenting matters involving allegations of family violence, drug use and child abuse, relocation matters, urgent airport Watch-list orders, and matters involving children born out of surrogacy arrangements.
Working almost exclusively in family law in both parenting and property matters, Samira has appeared before the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, and the Family Court of Australia on numerous occasions. She has extensive courtroom skills and is known to be a confident advocate.
Samira has also settled matters outside court by way of negotiation, conciliation and mediation.
Samira appraises each case with objectivity, and advises her clients on the strength and weakness of their cases and presents practical options to them. She is diligent at fact-finding and adopts a clear and concise strategy towards final resolution of each case.
Samira has a warm and empathetic nature and is known to be a compassionate and dedicated lawyer, prizing successful outcomes for her clients above all.
Prior to practicing exclusively in the area of family law, Samira practiced in the areas of property transaction and criminal law where she appeared before different local courts representing clients in a range of criminal matters.
Samira is fluent in Farsi.
